Nick: Reading. Let me ask you this, what is it that makes you live in Reading?

Caller: Erm, well I moved here six years ago when my parents bought a shop over here.

Nick: Yes, and you're still there because...?

Caller: I'm still here because I work in Reading, and that's the only reason.

Nick: What a dump Reading is. I mean, I don't mean that in a nasty way, but Reading is a stinking pile of er, ordure.

Caller: You think so?

  Nick: Isn't it?

  Caller: Well I don't know, it's better than Slough, and that's where I used to live.

Nick: Slaaaaaarrrrr? [Laughing] Yes. You're right on that point though. Reading is, hard as it is to believe, better than somewhere, and that somewhere is Slough.
